Flip-sandals are part of every beachgoers foot wear. However more and more people are wearing flip-flop sandals during the summer when the temperatures soar as part of their casual wear.

Flip-flops worn for extended periods of time on hard surfaces can strain the muscles and joints of the feet ankles hips and low back.

People take shorter quicker steps and due to limited ankle support tend to walk by rolling their ankles inward both of which can lead to low back hip ankle and foot pain.

Wearing a sandal with metatarsal support and limiting flip-flop use to the pool and beach can minimize this problem.
