Migraine headaches are severe, they are disabling and they can be managed with chiropractic care.
A migraine is different from a regular headache. They are painful, throbbing headaches that may cause nausea or vomiting and sensitivity to light and noise.
Drugs may be useful for the severe headaches but are not the only solution to the problem. Avoiding the triggers that cause headaches are important. The most common ones are:
Sleeping too much or too little
Skipping meals
Too much caffeine or varying the amount consumed
Certain foods like chocolate, red wine, aspartame an artificial sweetener, MSG a food additive, nitrates in cold cuts and tyramines found in pickled foods and aged cheeses.
If you experience migraine headaches, call Dr Crooks and Dr Shriver for a consultation to determine what treatment options are available at our office.
